[Video] Asus Transformer Prime's Audio Taking a Big Step in the Right Direction

As if we couldn't hear enough about the Prime, today we have something else very interesting to go along with the reports of it selling out. Tablets have always been known for their poor audio quality, let's face it there's only so much you can pack into those small cases with respect to speakers. Asus put the same audio in the Prime that they put in their High End laptops which should improve it dramatically. I did not really think it was going to be a big deal until I watched a comparison video that Asus shared on their twitter account earlier today. The video compares Asus' Sonic Master Sound to standard laptop speakers, and I must say I am impressed. While not studio quality by any means it is way clearer than the laptop speakers. I did not hear any crackling like normal laptop speakers or any other of the commonly exhibited distortion.

Now I don't know if these are going to be the same components in the Prime, in fact I rather doubt it, but if they shoot for the quality of the line we could be looking at just another thing this tablet may blow away the competition with. Check out the Video for yourself. He starts with sonicmaster then moves to the laptop speakers. Also if you have not pre-order the prime head on over to and reserve one before their gone.

Also Available at Newegg and B&H PhotoVideo
