There are folks that want phones with only touchscreens then there are ones that want a phone with a physical keyboard. Motorola has delivered the newest addition to the Droid lineup today with the Droid 4. The Droid slider family (Droid, Droid 1, Droid 2, etc) has been lacking a 4G variant, but that changes today. This overweight Razr with a slide out keyboard should appease those that were angry when the Droid 3 came out last year without LTE in tow.
Here's what you get on the Droid 4. First off you get Android 2.3.6 running on a 4" screen with a 1.2Ghz dual core processor and 1GB of RAM with Verizon 4G LTE. No idea why Moto didn't launch this thing with Android 4.0 as all the 4's would have made for fun marketing pitches, but they have promised it will be updated to Ice Cream Sandwich in the future. The laser etched slide out qwerty keyboard will make all you that despise on screen keyboards very happy.
The Droid 4 is available on Verizon today for $199. Hit the source to pick it up.
