Sprint Unveils the Evo 4G LTE, A Phone for An Unborn Network

Sprint and HTC have unveiled an LTE phone to go with Sprint's still unborn LTE network. This should be a beast of a phone and boosts Sprint to the top of the phone technology curve for a while curve.

While Sprint does not have LTE yet this phone does support it even though I believe the phone will ship with LTE off by default to save the 2,000 mAh battery some work. This phone has 4.7" Super LCD HD screen and is running Android 4.0.3 with HTC's Sense 4.0 overlay. You get a Qualcomm Snapdragon 1.5Ghz Dual-core CPU that has put up great benchmarks in other devices.

You also get some other interesting features like HD voice capabilities and an 8 MP camera with the same sensor as the One line of phones. You also get a dedicated camera button and a red kick stand. Pre-orders will start May 7 at a cost of $199 on a two-year contract.
